We're starting to learn more about Ben Affleck's plans for his solo Batman movie, which he's been co-writing and plans to direct. Talking with The Associated Press, Affleck revealed that the movie's working title is The Batman.

While that makes logical sense, we'd stress the "working" part of that working title. “At least that’s what we’re going with now,” Affleck says in the video below. “I might change it.” Don't go printing up 5,000 posters just yet, in other words.

What we know so far about the movie is that Affleck is at work on the script with DC boss Geoff Johns and that he's cast Joe Manganiello as the villainous Deathstroke (Justice League director Zack Snyder recently hinted on Instagram that the tooled-up bad guy could well cameo in the superhero team-up movie). "We’re working on the script," Affleck says. "The script is going well. I’m really excited about it. And I assure you when there’s anything that develops, you’ll hear about it."

No release date has been announced for this one, though it'll likely fall between 2018's The Flash and the still-vaporous Cyborg movie that is pencilled in for a 2020 release.

Affleck will next be seen in The Accountant, out here on 4 November. Then follows Live By Night, which he wrote, directed and stars in, due 13 January next year. And finally, there's Justice League, which recently wrapped filming and will arrive on 17 November 2017.
