With his most recent movie, The Meyerowitz Stories, out in the world via Netflix (and slipping into cinemas to qualify for awards), Noah Baumbach has long since turned his attention to his next film. He's adding Meyerowitz's Adam Driver plus Scarlett Johansson and Laura Dern to the cast.
The casting information is almost all we know about the movie, which Baumbach has written and will direct when his chosen ensemble is available. He's also added Merritt Weaver and Azhy Robertson to the cast, and is working again with Netflix after the success of the previous film.
Driver has Star Wars: The Last Jedi headed our way on 14 December. Johansson is in the middle of Avengers duty, working on the second of the next two films, while Dern is coming off awards success for TV miniseries Big Little Lies and appears ready to join the cast for the follow-up. And she'll also be seen in the new Star Wars, playing Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo.
