It's perhaps no surprise that Daisy Ridley shot to the top of casting wish lists after Star Wars: The Force Awakens. And she's certainly in demand; rumored as a possible new Tomb Raider, linked to a film called Kolmawhich has Marielle Heller directing and now attached to the lead in a drama called The Lost Wife.

Marc Klein has written the script for the film, adapting Alyson Richman's 2011 book. Set in pre-World War II Prague, the story follows young lovers Lenka, a talented art student and Josef, her best friend's older brother, see their dreams torn apart by the imminent arrival of the Nazis. Separated for decades, a chance meeting in New York brings them the possibility that they might just be able to reunite...

This one is still at a very early stage, and has neither a director nor studio attached as of yet. But mega-agency CAA is looking to sell the rights at the Cannes Film Market next month and landing Ridley's name will certainly help spur interest.

She's busy right now honing her lightsaber skills and shooting Star Wars: Episode VIII, which will be out here on December 25, 2017.
