A Sound Of Thunder Review

Time travelling safari hunters accidently alter the course of evolution and it's not looking good for humankind.

This big sci-fi flop squanders a fascinating premise based on a Ray Bradbury short story — time-travel tourists inadvertently change the course of evolution — on a so-so action movie with some appalling CG landscapes.

Catherine McCormack does the passionate protester thing we’ve seen from her before, Ben Kingsley unashamedly hams it up for the pay cheque, and Ed Burns is left carrying the can as an unlikely action hero. Still, any film with baboon-lizard monsters has a shot at cult status.

Good idea unsuccessfully realised with Ed Burns doing his best.
