This movie wants you to think it’s being outrageous. There’s sex, drugs, everyone saying “fuck” constantly. But it’s a coy variety of raunch. The sex is discreetly covered, drugs just make people chatty and nobody’s been shocked by swearing since the ’90s. Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel play married parents whose formerly robust sex life is breathing its last, so decide to spice it up by making their own porn, which is then accidentally beamed to a fleet of iPads. The leads try, but there’s barely a plot here and few solid gags. The only thing it succeeds in selling is Apple products.

Previously bunny-like in the bedroom, young marrieds Annie (Diaz) and Jay (Segel) find their sex life becalmed by the pressures of parenting. To jazz things up they decide to make a sex tape, only for the results to end up on iPods belonging to their friends.
