Adapted from Martin Prinz's novel, this tale of a marathon-running thief is executed with rigorous precision. However, its detachment renders Andreas Lust coldly enigmatic, while the lack of psychological depth deprives the heist sequences of suspense. At times fascinating, nonetheless.

Toned, conditioned and able to run all day, marathon runner Johann (Lust) channels his athleticism into a series of foot-borne heists. Eluding capture and gathering a taste for adrenaline, his criminal lifestyle soon begins to consume him - and his relationship with social worker Erika (Weisz).
