At 83, John Mills is perhaps a little old to be serving in the British Army. Still, that doesnt stop him sending secret agent George Peppard off to Jersey to sort out the problem of a captured American officer who knows all the secrets of the impending D-Day landings. Michael York is both Rommel and his Jewish lookalike impersonator. Deborah Raffin (with terrible English accent) provides the glamour, while the plot seems to be a combination of I Was Montys Double and Appointment With Venus. If Jack Higgins source novel is as bad as this TV movie version of it, he deserves to be paid in bus tickets.
