Star Wars fever continues this morning as news emerged of a planned simultaneous release of the film here and in the US. It has been announced that the British theatrical release for Episode II will take place on 16 May 2002. This perfectly coincides with the US release on the same day and across the rest of Europe on the 16th and 17th. Thankfully this should assure that, this time around, die-hard fans need not start booking flights to get their first glimpse of Lucas' latest.
