While we're used to seeing Vince Vaughn in comedy roles, he's recently been shaking up that status quo, giving it some scowl in the second season of True Detective. He's now folowing that up with an action thriller, and a serious man requires a serious haircut. His excitingly tousled barnet is the major star of Term Life's new poster, along with the rest of Vaughn and Hailee Steinfeld.

Term Life poster - Vince Vaughn & Hailee Steinfeld

Term Life’s plot follows Nick Barrow (Vaughn), who plans heists and comes up with tricks for career criminals. Unfortunately for him, he’s managed to annoy just about everyone, especially when one of the most recent crimes he helped plan goes bad. With mob bosses, corrupt cops and hit men on his trail, Nick decides he wants to finally do something good and takes a big life insurance policy out on himself, payable to his estranged daughter (Steinfeld). There’s just one small hitch: it takes 21 days to take effect, and he’ll be lucky to live 21 hours…

Regular Vaughn collaborator, Couples Retreat director Peter Billingsley, is calling the shots on this one, working from comic book co-creator A.J. Lieberman’s script. Shea Whigham, Bill Paxton, Jonathan Banks, Mike Epps, William Levy, Jordi Molla and long-time Vaughn compadre Jon Favreau are also all aboard. Term Life hasn't got a UK release date yet, but hits VOD in the states on March 1.
