Four years on from The Hateful Eight, and in the wake of those early poster teases, the first full trailer for Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood is here. Quentin Tarantino’s ninth film (both Kill Bill instalments apparently count as one movie) promises a tour through the end of Golden Age Hollywood, with an all-star cast led by Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt. Watch it here:

Set in 1969 Los Angeles, DiCaprio plays Western TV star Rick Dalton, with Pitt as his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth, following the pair as they try and make the leap to the big screen. The film will partially take place against the backdrop of the Charles Manson family murders, with Margot Robbie playing Sharon Tate, the actor and model who was one of the victims. And with this being Tarantino, this one is all about capturing the detail of a bygone era of movies and popular culture in precise detail – the perfect playground for the ultimate movie obsessive. That's Mike Moh you see playing Bruce Lee in the trailer, while the cast also includes Damian Lewis playing screen legend Steve McQueen.

There’s also still plenty of exciting stuff we haven’t glimpsed yet – including cast members like Kurt Russell, Al Pacino, and Tim Roth. And with that none-more-Tarantino music and those retro titles, we can’t wait to delve back into one of Hollywood's most unique minds. Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood will arrive in UK cinemas on 14 August (2019, not 1969).
