This should pep up a rainy Bank Holiday: here are a few clips from Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium Of Dr Parnassus, offering just a tiny taste of what's in store. Check them out at French site **Comme Au Cinema, clicking on "Extrait" one to three to see the lot or watch them below.

The film sees Christopher Plummer as Dr Parnassus (who you can see in action in the third clip), a former monk who won immortality in a bet with the devil, Mr Nick, centuries ago - but who later, on meeting his true love, made another deal with the devil that means he has to give Mr Nick his daughter (Lily Cole) on her 16th birthday. Now that that's imminent, Parnassus is trying to find a way to save her - and needs help to beat the devil at yet another wager. Enter Ledger's Tony, who you can see in action in clip two.

The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus is out here later this year, we hope, but doesn't have a confirmed release date yet.
