As is True Blood’s Ryan Kwanten

Steve Zahn Is A Knight Of Badassdom

Back in January, we brought word that Peter Dinklage was considering swapping the fantasy lands of Narnia for something a little funnier, in the shape of Knights Of Badassdom, which we described then as sounding like “a mutant crossbreed of Evil Dead-era Sam Raimi and the sword-happy finale of Role Models.” Now it looks like A) we were spot-on with our description and B) Dinklage is officially aboard, with Steve Zahn and True Blood’s Ryan Kwanten (who plays the dopey yet loveable Jason Stackhouse) ready to fight with him.

Wrong Turn 2: Dead End director Joe Lynch is directing the film, which follows a freshly dumped slacker deciding to avoid his relationship woes by tagging along with his mates on their latest Live Action Role-Playing trip.

But things take a turn for the decidedly demonic when a book snagged on eBay for a LARP lark is discovered to have some very real dark powers.

“It’s sort of a comedy… like S****haun of the Dead meets Role Models,” Kwanten tells Access Hollywood (via Shock ‘Till You Drop). “It’s that real black comedy that I really love.” Given that he’s spent two seasons (with the third about to launch) acting alongside vampires and other odd creatures on Bon Temps, he’s got a point.
