New Line have picked up a pitch by Step Up 3D writers Emily Meyer and Amy Adelson for teen romcom What Boys Want, featuring Disney Channel star Selena Gomez.
Does that title sound familiar? Try this: it's about a girl who can hear what the opposite sex are thinking.
Yup indeedy. Although there's no mention of it in Variety's story, this is sounding awfully like a sequel or a spinoff or a reboot or just something that sounds very unofficially similar to 2001's Mel Gibson starrer What Women Want, in which Gibson played a guy who... could hear what the opposite sex were thinking.
Gibson used his talent to win Helen Hunt, but Gomez's potential conquest has yet to be revealed. We're sure he will be wholesome. At least by the end of the movie.
