After a big success with his first film, 2009’s Zombieland, Ruben Fleischer hasn’t exactly been on a hot streak. 30 Minutes Or Less was funny in parts but largely throwaway and Gangster Squad was savaged by critics and mostly ignored by audiences. So he may be hoping that time in a toy store could be just the ticket to put him back on top, entering negotiations to direct Overnight for Disney.

By that, we don’t mean the Mouse House is handing him some corporate credit card and telling him to go crazy in Toys ‘R Us. Instead, Fleischer’s up for the job of making a new family adventure film for the company, which is being described as** **"Home Alone in a toy store."

As you may be able to figure out from that boiled-down pitch, the script by** 22 Jump Street** co-writer Oren Uziel finds a father and son winning a competition to spend the night in a brand new, chock-full toy store. Unfortunately for them, their visit coincides with the very night that thieves decide to break in. From there, it’s elementary to figure out that the lead pair will have to use the gadgets and other goodies at their disposal to thwart the villains. Sounds like the team haven't seen Home Alone 2: Lost In New York, which features numbskull crooks Harry and Marv looking to rob, er, a toy store...

It’s not the only project that Fleischer is interested in, but this appears to be a new frontrunner ahead of **Spy Hunter **and a couple of untitled projects still simmering away on the development stove.
