As the cameras continue to roll on Jack Reacher sequel Never Go Back, another cast member has joined the ensemble headed by Tom Cruise. Robert Knepper will be stepping into a major role for the film.

Ed Zwick is busy directing the new movie, working from a script he wrote with Richard Wenk and Zwick's regular collaborator Marshall Herskovitz. It's adapted from Lee Child's 18th Reacher novel, which finds the tough vigilante returning to his old army headquarters, only to discover that he's been accused of a murder that went down 16 years ago. Knepper is aboard to play General Harkness a former army man who became the boss of a military contractor. Described as a man of power and experience, he sees himself as a hero and isn't afraid to make the tough decisions.

This is just the latest addition to a cast that also includes Cobie Smulders, Aldis Hodge, Robert Catrini, Danika Yarosh, and, Holt McCallany, and the film should be in cinemas here on October 21.
