Though we've yet to properly meet the new take on armed Marvel vigilante Frank Castle in the second season of Daredevil, the response to Jon Bernthal's version of the character from those inside the company and fans awaiting his debut that Netflix is reportedly considering a Punisher spin-off.

The Punisher, who is set to make his debut on March 18 when the latest season of Daredevil arrives on the streaming service, will be part of a complicated story for Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock. Unsure where this new vigilante stands, he'll be a source of friction and violence for Matt as he takes justice into his own hands in a much more violent fashion than even the Man Without Fear usually contemplates.

It's still early days according to TV Line, and Netflix may well wait to see the full reaction to Bernthal's portrayal of Castle before deciding to truly pull any spin-off trigger. But if he does end up joining the line-up full time, The Punisher will represent the sixth Marvel/Netflix collaboration, which also includes Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and the planned Defenders miniseries which will, one day at least, unite all the characters.
