Though the castlist of Christopher Nolan's exciting sci-fi project Interstellar was already released - McConaughey, Chastain, Caine, Hathaway, Damon, Oyelowo, Affleck the younger - precious few plot details were out there... until now.

As spotted by JoBlo, local Canadian newspaper website FortMacleodGazette.com reported on Christopher and Jonah Nolan's interdimensional black hole epic shooting in their town, with Matthew McConaughey spotted on Main Street giving a group of girls the thumbs up.

The writer of the piece gave his readers some details on the plot that many weren't aware of before, and if you're willing to find out just a little bit more about the top-secret project, you can read those below.

"Set in the future, corn is the last crop to be cultivated on earth and the scientists embark on a journey through a worm hole into other dimensions in search of somewhere other crops can be grown."

"'The scene was of the main character (McConaughey) driving, trying to outrun a dust storm which eventually catches up to him and overtakes the truck in the town,' location manager Laszlo Uhrik said. 'So as you can imagine there was quite a lot of thinking about how to make this work.'"

The most important shooting location is Iceland, which has led Nolanites to presume the increasingly popular cinematic landscape - see Oblivion, Prometheus and Thor: The Dark World for further examples - will double for either the barren earth or a barren other world found through the all-important worm hole.

Joining the previously mentioned names on the Interstellar cast list are Ellen Burstyn, Topher Grace, Wes Bentley, Mackenzie Foy and Timothée Chalamet. It's set for a November 2014 release.
