Following a storming game the other night between the US women's team and Canada in the Olympics, football (soccer) is so hot right now. So what better time to debut the trailer for Playing For Keeps, the new football-themed rom-com from Gabriele Mucino?
The director of The Pursuit Of Happyness sticks to similar territory in what looks like a feelgood story of a divorced couple: former professional football player George (Gerard Butler) and his ex Stacie (Jessica Biel), who have a son together (Noah Lomax). But with George unable to settle to anything and Stacie preparing to re-marry, some big decisions face both of them.
The film also features Catherine Zeta-Jones, Dennis Quaid and Uma Thurman, as well as Gerard Butler getting to live what we suspect is a personal fantasy and sport a Celtic strip. Playing For Keeps is out on February 1, 2013.
