The good folks over at Coming Soon have landed an exclusive first shot from Pixar's Night & Day, the short film that will accompany **Toy Story 3 **when it finally lands in cinemas this summer. Head over to their site for the full shot, but in the meantime here's what Pixar has to say about the plot.
"When Day, a sunny fellow, encounters Night, a stranger of distinctly darker moods, sparks fly! Day and Night are frightened and suspicious of each other at first, and quickly get off on the wrong foot. But as they discover each other's unique qualities--and come to realize that each of them offers a different window onto the same world--the friendship helps both to gain a new perspective."

This short's directed by Teddy Newton, who's worked on The Incredibles and **Ratatouille **before making his Pixar short directorial debut on this one. He also voices the Chatter Telephone in Toy Story 3, apparently, so listen out for him there.
