Paramount Opening Hasbro Factory?

Given how many movies toy giant Hasbro has in development with various studios around Hollywood, it seems only natural that the company would be looking to keep the dollar train trundling by exploiting a few more properties from its bulging cupboard of characters and games. Which is why Pajiba has heard rumours of a project called **Hasbro Factory **bubbling away at Paramount to do exactly that.

With Marvel’s plans to unite several of its characters into ready-made team The Avengers slowly coming to fruition, Hasbro has apparently made the decision that it can combine several lesser concepts – such as Play-Doh, Lite Brite and Tinker Toys – into one film.

The plan is to take a leaf from Night At The Museum’s book, and have an adventure where several of these more limited characters all come to life inside the factory.

As of right now, it’s only in a very embryonic stage, with the studio throwing the idea out to writers to see if anyone can crack it. It might all collapse like a Jenga column before it even gets going, assuming it exists at all, but with toys and games such a big part of Tinsel Town’s development focus right now, we wouldn’t be surprised to learn it’s happening. And yes, the very fact that we consider this possible is probably a sign of the apocalypse.
