Naomie Harris And Damien Lewis Join Our Kind Of Traitor
With Skarsgard and McGregor in the Le Carre adaptation
Last we heard, a year or so ago, Ralph Fiennes and Mads Mikkelsen were in talks for the John Le Carre adaptation Our Kind Of Traitor. But while Susanna White's spy thriller may have lost an M and a Le Chiffre along the way, it's now gained a Moneypenny. In a flurry of casting news, Naomie Harris has signed up, along with Damien Lewis and Stellan Skarsgard, to join the already-attached Ewan McGregor.
Le Carre's 2010 novel involves an Oxford academic and his barrister girlfriend holidaying on a Caribbean island. There they encounter a money launderer fleeing the Russian mafia with juicy intelligence on the banking sector and a plan to claim asylum in the UK. The ensuing globetrotting shenanigans take in Paris, Switzerland, London, Russia and Antigua.
