McG Facing Ruin

Producing feature from Wes Ball's short

Wes Ball's short film Ruin got the suits at Fox so excited that they've shelled out for the feature rights before Ball could even meet with another studio. Terminator: Salvation and This Means War director McG is now in talks to produce the full-blown Ruin film, under his Wonderland Sound and Vision banner.

Unsurprisingly, Ball has a background in graphics, and has worked for HBO and on DVD features for the likes of JJ Abrams' Star Trek. The planned Ruin feature, however, will be live-action. Ball is currently at work on the screenplay with TS Nowlin (who's also behind the developing Ruper Wyatt / Charlize Theron project Agent 13), and also intends to direct, under McG's watchful eye...
