Come with us now to the cavernous warehouse where Hollywood stores the novel adaptations and other planned films that Leonardo DiCaprio is attached to. We imagine a giant, echoing chamber, perhaps with the sound system occasionally playing a recording of Michael Sheen begging people to adopt them or give money to help fund further development. To this ever-growing store of potential movies we can now add the rights to Headhunters novelist Jo Nesbo’s **Blood On The Snow.

Warner Bros., where DiCaprio has his Appian Way company, has snapped up the rights to Nesbo’s book, written under the pseudonym Tom Johansson. If he does end up doing more than producing, DiCaprio would potentially star as a hit man asked by his boss to kill his employer’s wife. Yet in a snag we predict many people could see coming, he falls in love with her, which complicates things somewhat. Oh, fictional hit men! Will you ever learn?

So far nothing has been decided about the film, with no writer or director attached just yet. If it does go ahead – and that’s a big if, given how many other movies are waiting in line – it has a potential sequel on the way via Nesbo’s follow-up book More Blood On The Snow. Followed, we hope, by Really, Has No One Cleared Up All This Blood On The Snow?

DiCaprio’s next on our screens in Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf Of Wall Street. Beyond that is anyone’s guess, as he seems to want to take some time off. Maybe he could spend the time visiting the warehouse? We’re sure he’s got top men looking after it. Top. Men.
