Kyra Sedgwick Dives Into Chlorine

In a family drama with Vincent D'Onofrio

Kyra Sedgwick and Vincent D'Onofrio don't instantly make us think they'd work as a married couple, but perhaps that's the point for writer/director Jay Alaimo's new indie drama, Chlorine.

Because the family at the centre of the film - with Sedgwick as the appearance-obsessed matriarch and D'Onofrio as the lacklustre hubby - are too busy fighting to realise that they've entered into a very dodgy real estate deal.

Alaimo has been trying to get the film together for a few years now. He previous got it set up with Ray Liotta and Demi Moore, but scheduling issues and, more importantly, Hurricane Katrina, derailed his efforts.

Now he's moved the drama to New Jersey, which makes us think it'll be a little like The Sopranos, but with slightly less blood.
