The first trailer for Justice League will be arriving on 25 March, but Warner Bros. has released this initial tease which provides a few Aquaman-centric glimpses at Zack Snyder's latest DC Universe adaptation.

Things kick off with the Aquaman logo, followed by a shot of Aquaman standing before a wall of water, which in turn leads to an image of him apparently confronting Batman, trident in hand. Finally there is the image of Aquaman slamming the trident into the ground, unleashing an energy wave before he is engulfed by water. It all ends with what looks like a carrier opening up to reveal Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), Flash (Ezra Miller) and Aquaman (Jason Momoa) standing shoulder-to-shoulder.

Also starring are Henry Cavill as Superman (destined to rise from the grave he was put in following his battle with Doomsday in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice), Amy Adams reprising her role of Lois Lane, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, [Amber Heard](http://www.empireonline.com/people/amber-heard/

) as Mera, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

The studio officially describes the film as follows: "Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy."

The DC Cinematic Universe kicked off with Man Of Steel in 2011, followed by Batman V Superman in 2016. Wonder Woman arrives this summer.

Justice League will be released on 17 November.
