He might have the looming deadline of **Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children now that Fox has staked out a July 2015 release date for that fantasy, but at the moment Tim Burton’s focus is art biopic Big Eyes. He now has Jason Schwartzman and Danny Huston signed up{
Big Eyes, which has a script by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, is based on the true story of painter Margaret Keane (Amy Adams) and her husband Walter (Christoph Waltz), who tried to take credit for her memorable, peculiar images of large-eyed children. The ensuing court case was solved when the judge ordered easels and art supplies brought in so Margaret could prove she was the actual talent.
Schwartzman is set to play San Francisco art gallery owner Ruben, while Huston will be gossip journalist Dick Bolan, who dug into the story.
Krysten Ritter is also aboard the movie, which Burton is currently gearing up to make this summer. Schwartzman was last seen in Moonrise Kingdom and has recently worked again with Wes Anderson on The Grand Budapest Hotel. He’s also playing composer Richard Sherman in Saving Mr Banks and will be part of the cast for comedy Squirrels To The Nuts.
Huston has **The Congres****s **awaiting release and will be seen in Libertador and Fastbreak.
