With this year's WonderCon a little light on film content, the producers of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows were likely hoping it would help them make a splash. There was one big announcement: Fred Armisen, no stranger to weird characters given his work on Portlandia, is voicing alien brain-beastie Krang in the new film.

With Stephen Amell (in the new movie as Casey Jones) and a returning Megan Fox joining the producers on stage, the word arrived that Armisen has recently been cast to provide the likely screechy vocals for Krang, who has so far only been briefly glimpsed in his human-shaped exo-suit.

We'll also see the return of Shredder (Brian Tee) and the film also introduces mutant morons Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams) and Rocksteady (WWE champ Stephen “Sheamus” Farrelly), the warthog and rhino henchmen who will cause trouble for our heroes.

The sequel will see the turtles – performance-captured and voiced by Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, Pete Ploszek/Johnny Knoxville and Jeremy Howard – once more tackling threats new and old in New York City and, as the title suggests, gaining a little more notice. Fox's April O'Neil is once again joined by Will Arnett's Vernon Fenwick, with Tyler Perry aboard as Scientist Baxter Stockman.

Earth To Echo's Dave Green takes over directorial duties, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows will hit the UK on June 3. The latest extended TV spot trailer is below.
