The Flash Movie’s Start Date Pushed Back Again

Ezra Miller as The Flash

For a movie about a character who can travel so quickly he bends the restrictions of space and time, the DCEU stand-alone Flash movie has moved awfully slowly so far. And now there's another delay on the horizon.

Given all the issues the film has had so far – it's been through several directors and writers – Warners has been sketchy about locking down a release date and is still tinkering with the script. According to Variety, it's still not ready to shoot, and so the cameras won't likely be rolling until later in 2019, given star Ezra Miller's commitments to the third Fantastic Beasts film, which will shoot next July.

Though Game Night's John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein are attached to direct, the latest decision to delay filming means we wouldn't expect the movie until 2021 at the earliest. Meanwhile the next offering from Warners and DC will be Aquaman, due out on 14 December.
