M. Night Shyamalan's latest movie The Last Airbender doesn't hit our screens until next July, but USA Today has laid its printy mitts on shots of Dev Patel and Noah Ringer as two of the movie's key characters, Crown Prince Zuko and the last airbender himself, Aang, here seen mid-martial artistry.

Deriving its mythology from Nickelodeon show Avatar: The Last Airbender, Shyamalan's latest will be less twisteroo-heavy than normal, although arguably there's a twist right at the start: Dev Patel's exiled crown prince is an imperialistic villain, many miles and several degrees of evilness removed from Slumdog's Jamal, whose motivation is to capture Aang and regain his position at home.
