Human trafficking drama Eden has been doing the festival rounds for a while now since premiering at the South By Southwest event last March. Now it has a trailer online, which you can watch over at Apple.

Eden follows the titular character, a Korean-American girl (Jamie Chung) who is abducted near her home and forced into prostitution by a US human and drug trafficking ring. Throughout the two years she is held, Eden reluctantly ensures her own survival by carving out power and influence within the very organization that has imprisoned her.

While the plotline sounds like it could be a basic exploitation thriller, Eden has emerged as much more than that, particularly since it’s partly based on a real-life story.

Co-written and directed by Megan Griffiths, working with Rick Phillips Jr, the film features Beau Bridges, Matt O’Leary and Grace Arends. It’s set to hit American cinemas on March 20, but there’s no word on a UK release just yet.
