The films of S. Craig Zahler are tough. Really tough. Brutally tough. From Bone Tomahawk’s swerve from Western tropes into hardcore gore-horror, to Brawl In Cell Block 99’s titular scuffles, the writer-director has a made a name in hard-as-nails action-dramas. His latest is Dragged Across Concrete (oof, that sounds painful), which sees Zahler re-team with Cell Block 99’s Vince Vaughn, joining Mel Gibson, Jennifer Carpenter, Laurie Holden, Tory Kittles and more. Empire has an exclusive look at the film’s poster, designed by Jump Cut’s creative director Brandon Schaefer.

Dragged Across Concrete

Dragged Across Concrete stars Gibson and Vaughn as police officers who are suspended when their bad-cop-bad-cop tactics are caught on camera. Instead of sitting out their suspension quietly, the pair delve into the criminal underworld and get caught up in a bank robbery.

The film is screening as part of the BFI London Film Festival 2018 tonight, and will receive a wider release in 2019.
