Chloe Grace Moretz just can’t stop dabbling in the spooky side of life... or death. She’ll be back on our screens this weekend in Dark Shadows and, after playing a vampire in Let Me In, she’s now eyeing the role of a zombie in Maggie, alongside Paddy Considine.

Henry Hobson is lined up to direct the film, which follows the spread of a nasty, undead-birthing virus as it runs rampant across the States. One of the victims is a Midwest girl, the eldest daughter in a family who slowly starts down the path to becoming a zombie.

But instead of reaching for the shotgun or running in terror, her family – especially her father (Considine) – must face the creeping dread as she slowly loses her struggle with the infection.

Written by John Scott 3 (that’s not a typo, he apparently does have a three in his name), the script landed on the 2011 Black List and has been attracting plenty of attention. It’ll be sold at Cannes this year and Hobson is looking to shoot in September.

Moretz has a busy schedule as always: she’s attached to the new take on Carrie, Dennis Wilson biopic The Drummer, Karyn Kusama’s **The Rut **and The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea.
