It was announced earlier this week that Bryan Singer would be producing Capeshooters, based on a comic book about two paparazzi who specialises in snapping superheroes. Now Singer's added another comic-book adaptation to his slate.
The Superman Returns director will be producing Freedom Formula, based on a five-issue comic by Edmund Shern. Freedom Formula is described by Variety as "a futuristic Top Gun" with racers battling each other while wearing exo-suits, rather than using planes. One genetically engineered racer discovers that his bloodline has the power to change society. Which all really sounds absolutely nothing like Top Gun.
There's no indication of who might direct, or if Singer might consider taking the reins himself.
