In 2010, DreamWorks Animation boss Jeffrey Katzenberg told us of the company’s expansive plans for sequels to films including How To Train Your Dragon and Kung Fu Pand****a. Now the third Panda pic is leaping into action, with Bryan Cranston, Mads Mikkelsen and Rebel Wilson all aboard to lend their tonsil talents.

They’ll join returning Panda veterans Jack Black, Angelina Jolie and Seth Rogen in the film, which** Kung Fu Panda 2**’s Jennifer Yuh Nelson is back to direct.

Beyond the basic concept carried through the movies – Black’s warrior Po, the chosen one, continues his quest to master martial arts and fight evil, all while eating as much as he can – nothing is known about the movie just yet. We don’t even know which characters the three newcomers will be playing, though here's hoping Cranston plays a fellow panda called Heisenbear. The film is set to hit cinemas, across the pond at least, on December 23, 2015.

Cranston is no stranger to DreamWorks movies, having played grouchy tiger Vitaly in Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted. He’s currently at work on Godzilla. Wilson was last seen in Pitch Perfect and has a small role in Pain & Gain, which arrives on August 28. Mikkelsen is playing Hannibal in the US TV drama of the same name and has The Necessary Death Of Charlie Countryman awaiting a release date over here.
