Despite the presence of Will Ferrell and Adam McKay as producers and interest from the likes of Emma Stone, comedy script **He’s F-ing Perfect **has not exactly raced to the screen following lots of early movement back in 2011. Things seem to be looking up, however, because Amanda Seyfried has signed up to star for Universal, which plucked the movie out of turnaround from Fox 2000.

Lauryn Kahn wrote the script, which revolves around a young woman who Facebook-stalks the men her friends are dating so she can make sure they’re not weirdoes. On one info-gathering click-fest, however, she discovers that one of her best mates’ new blokes is everything she’s looking for in a man, so she tries to convince her to dump him. Yeah, that’ll turn out well…

Kahn came up through the ranks of Ferrell and McKay’s Gary Sanchez company, and the film boasts Jake Szymanski, a director who has also collaborated with the pair in the past, working on Funny Or Die videos. He’s also shot episodes of Paul Scheer’s action comedy TV spoof NTSF:SD .

Seyfried has Seth MacFarlane’s comedy Western A Million Ways To Die In The West under her belt and is at work on Noah Baumbach’s While We’re Young. For her fun Empire Podcast interview, head here.
