It’s been delayed from its original planned shooting schedule of this summer, but now it looks like Glenn Close’s period project Albert Nobbs is finally spluttering to life, albeit with some casting changes. The Playlist has confirmed thatKick Ass’ Aaron Johnson and Alice in Wonderland’s Mia Wasikowska are now two of the leads.

But there's bad news for Orlando Bloom since he no longer seems to be attached to the role (chances are Johnson is taking over his part). And Wasikowska is already subbing for Amanda Seyfried, who has also had to drop out.

Close (of course) is still attached, as are Jonathan Rhys-Meyers and his staring eyes, to the tale of a woman in 19th century Ireland who must disguise herself as a man in order to survive. The Upstairs, Downstairs-style drama boasts a script co-written by John Banville and Close, which is taken from the short story The Singular Life of Albert Nobbs, by George Moore.

Rodrigo Garcia, last seen behind the camera for Mother and Child, will no doubt be hoping he gets to start making the new film shortly.
