Original Title:

Mortal Sins

A Catholic serial killer is murdering people and administering the last rites to them, raising suspicion that the culprit is a priest.

Father Christopher Reeve, his Superman shoulders straining a cassock and overly exciting schoolgirls, is high on the suspect list, but he has been taking confessions from a megalomaniac asthmatic who claims to be ordained as God's executioner.

The creaky business of the priest who can't give vital evidence to the cops because he got it under the seal of the confessional gets another go-round, as does the overworked mad murderer routine. Reeve spends the film looking thoughroughly puzzled that his career disappeared faster than a speeding bullet.
