Original Title:

Mistaken For Strangers

Lovable schlub Tom is the brother of Matt Berninger, lead singer of indie darlings The National. Tom wants to make a documentary about Matt, but ends up with a meta movie about artistic endeavour. Far more entertaining and candid than its ‘music doc’ label.

It could easily have been a workaday music doc, but amid all the gigs, pit stops and sound checks emerges a funny and wry story of brothers at work.
