Original Title:

Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya

We're supposed to laugh while Khan submits himself to various indignities along the way, but you’d be hard-pressed to muster a chuckle, as much to Khan's surprise, Sen emerges from her shell, complicating matters for the already bewildered bachelor – and then there’s the problem of Kaif’s suspicious neighbour, who’s threatening to uncover the web of deceit...

It’s not all bad – popular Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi, who plays Khan’s best friend, romps through his role with impeccable comic timing, but director David Dhawan fails to recreate the ingenious slapstick that made his last film, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, such a hit.

The leads do their best, but Dhawan’s effort only limps along thanks to big star names making the most of pratfall gags and passable farce.
