Yvan Attal makes his directorial debut with this lightweight, but consistently amusing, treatise on celebrity. He also headlines as a TV sports reporter, who has enjoyed being married to movie star Charlotte Gainsbourg - until he begins to resent the leering attentions of strangers and her fame undermining his own self-esteem.
When she heads off to Pinewood to make a picture with a legendary Lothario (Stamp), his paranoia reaches epic proportions. There are vague echoes of the Tracy-Hepburn comedy Pat And Mike here, but the humour lacks bite, while subplots involving Attal's pregnant sister and his attempt to gain insight into his wife's mindset by taking acting classes are diversions.
