Original Title:

Librarian, The

Noah Wyle stars as a nerdier Indiana Jones in this made-for-TV movie about a perpetual student who becomes a librarian and learns that his charge is to protect the world’s greatest treasures. When one is stolen, he has to abandon the books to get it back in an adventure that takes in jungle, mountains and Kyle MacLachlan.

While the scenery is impressive, the CGI occasionally betrays its TV roots, but it zips along nicely.

Harmless made-for-TV fun, with not too bad effects
