Original Title:

LadyKiller

Mimi Rogers is a spinster cop who unwisely sleeps with smoothie John Shea - who shows up purporting to be from a computer dating service - and turns out to be Suspect Number One in at least two previous murders of lonely single women.

Rogers has cheekbones which could turn away bullets, and there's more twitchy loveliness from Alice Krige as Shea's wife, but the plot is simply an assembly of incredibly unlikely red herrings as innocent characters do their best to make themselves look suspicious while the obvious villain purrs nicely to everyone. Feline fans will be most upset when the killer dunks Mimi's moggy in the toilet.
