A one-joke movie that gets its laughs from the fact that brash Las Vegas singer John Goodman inherits the English throne after every other member of the royal family is electrocuted in a freak accident.
Its downhill from then on, with Brits Peter OToole, John Hurt and Natasha Richardson digging up their plummiest accents and wondering quite what they are doing in such a dreadful film.
Major League director David S. Ward is at the helm after doing a poor job of adapting Emlym Wiliams' much more entertaining novel.
