Original Title:

Keep The Lights On

In chronicling the ten-year relationship between a Danish documentarist and a New York lawyer, Ira Sachs captures a sense of obsession, but while Thure Lindhardt gives a sensitive performance, Zachary Booth struggles. Beautifully made, but one-sided.

While not quite on a par with Andrew Haigh’s Weekend, this is still an undeniably powerful piece of filmmaking.
