After two teasers that mostly focused on acorn addict Scrat and his sudden launch into space, the new full trailer for Ice Age: Collision Course finally delivers on more of Sid, Manny, Diego and the rest of the ever-expanding herd, who have to contend with a big new problem. Check it out below.
See, Scrat's misadventures with a buried alien ship have triggered an asteroid shower that threatens everyone on the Earth. So our heroes must gather up the gang and go on a quest to discover exactly what's up and how it might be stopped. And, course, make a lot of jokes along the way.
This would seem at first glance to be exactly what you'd expect from an Ice Age movie, but with more than $2 billion in the bank after four movies so far, you can't fault the Blue Sky team for the "if it ain't broke..." approach.
Regulars Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Seann William Scott, Josh Peck, Simon Pegg, Keke Palmer, Wanda Sykes, Jennifer Lopez and Queen Latifah are joined this time around by new recruits Stephanie Beatriz, Adam DeVine, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Max Greenfield, Jessie J, Nick Offerman, Melissa Rauch, Michael Strahan and astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. Let's hope they got the science right...
