A new issue of Empire arrives this week, and with it comes an exclusive preview of everyone’s favourite bunch of a-holes, returning for a second go of it. With Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 nearing range, Empire managed to get its mucky paws on an exclusive new image from the film, featuring Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and a weapon-wielding Drax (Dave Bautista). Take a look below. Click to embiggen.

Speaking to Empire for the new issue, Chris Pratt gave us an idea of what to expect from Marvel’s next adventure. “You can expect to see everything you loved in the first movie, but you’re also going to… but it… oh, I should rephrase that.” Clearing his throat, the man who plays Star-Lord has another go: “Don’t expect to see everything you saw in the first movie. But expect to be charmed and thrilled and entertained like you were watching the first movie.”

Vol. 2 sees Star-Lord finally tracking down his long-lost dad, played by Kurt Russell. For Pratt, the experience of playing Russell Jr was “humbling and exceptional. He’s surpassed any expectation I could have had.”
