In her final memoir The Princess Diarist, published earlier this year, Carrie Fisher detailed how she'd like to be remembered. "I tell my younger friends that no matter how I go, I want it reported that I drowned in moonlight, strangled by my own bra," she wrote.
Sadly today the news of her death has arrived, far too early, and while nobody has quite surpassed her own words, thousands of her friends and admirers have taken to social media to pay their respects. Not one for Twitter himself, Harrison Ford released a statement through traditional channels saying that "Carrie was one of a kind, brilliant, original, funny and emotionally fearless."
