The elements are starting to coalesce for the sequel to Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, which writer J.K. Rowling and director David Yates are gearing up to make ready for its November 2018 release. A potentially key piece of casting is now in the works, with Callum Turner in talks to be Newt Scamander's (Eddie Redmayne) brother.

Not much is known about Theseus Scamander – he's only briefly referenced in the first film. We do know he's an Auror and that he's not entirely convinced by his younger sibling's Magizoology pursuits. He's assigned by the British Ministry Of Magic to help capture the devious and dangerous Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp).

So now at least we know that he'll play a part in the next chunk of Newt's life as he confronts the darkening world of magic. Another major part of the tale was added a couple of weeks ago, as Jude Law joined the sequel to play the younger Albus Dumbledore.

Little else is known about the next chapter (the second of five planned movies), aside from it taking place in Paris. The sequel will be with us on 16 November next year. Turner has appeared in films such as Queen & Country, Green Room and Assassin's Creed and was part of the cast for the Beeb's 2016 adaptation of War & Peace.
