Original Title:

Ernest Rides Again

The fourth feature outing for blundering caretaker Ernest P. Worrel (Jim Varney) taking juvenile deliquency to previously unplummed depths and appealing to anyone with a mental age of five or below. This time Ernest uncovers an ancient cannon which supposedly contains the English Crown jewels. But, naturally enough there are others who want to get their greasy palms on the treasure. Varney’s attempt at slapstick is both irritating and cringe-making in a snigger-free, banal film.

About as funny as contracting cancer
