Back in 2013, James Wan's first Conjuring introduced real-life ghost hunters Ed and Lorraine Warren (played on screen by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) to a wider audience. Now they're back for another based-on-truth tale of spooky goings-on, and the new trailer for The Conjuring 2 has been unleashed online.

This time around, the setting is suburban England, where one of the most famous haunting cases in British history happened back in the late '70s, and the fashions were almost as trouser-troubling as the poltergeists.

Malevolent spirits in a house in Enfield make life very unpleasant indeed for the single mum (Frances O’Connor) who lives there with her four little 'uns. Expect jump scares and icy atmospherics as per usual as Ed and Lorraine Warren arrive from the US of A to try and sort things out. And deal with the blowback thanks to Lorraine's psychic senses once again playing havoc.

Reuniting much of the same behind-the-scenes team as last time, Wan is back into horror mode after his side-trip to action with the most recent Fast & Furious offering. The Conjuring 2 will creep into UK cinemas on June 17.
